Waterlooville North
Quiet suburban residential area between the town centre and Cowplain
The residential streets between the town centre and Cowplain, covering the area north of Wellington Way and west of London Road. This area developed rapidly in the interwar and postwar periods as Waterlooville expanded from a hamlet into a town. The housing is a mix of 1930s semis with bay windows and tile-hung upper storeys, postwar estates, and some later infill. The streets are generally quiet and residential, with small front gardens and driveways. Mill Road runs through the area, connecting London Road to the residential streets to the west. The area is within easy walking distance of the town centre shops, the library and the bus routes along London Road. Jubilee Park, a small public green space, provides a playground and open ground for local families. The area has a settled, unpretentious suburban character, with a mix of owner-occupied and privately rented properties. Local residents value the convenience of being close to the shops and services without being on the main road.
