Hambledon Road
Street guide, Waterlooville
A road running westward from Waterlooville towards the village of Denmead and, eventually, Hambledon. Hambledon Road connects the suburban town to the Hampshire countryside and is one of the main routes out of Waterlooville for those heading towards the Meon Valley and the South Downs. The road starts in the built-up area, passing residential streets and some commercial premises, before the houses thin out and the landscape becomes more rural. The road is popular with cyclists heading out to the villages and the quieter lanes of the Hampshire countryside. Some sections have been widened over the years to cope with increased traffic, but the western end retains a more rural character with hedgerows and farmland views.
