The pedestrianised shopping street at the heart of Waterlooville's commercial centre. Wellington Way runs through the middle of the Waterlooville Shopping Centre and is lined with chain stores, independent shops, cafes, charity shops and service businesses. The street was created as part of the 1970s town centre redevelopment and replaced the older shop frontages that had lined London Road. The pedestrianised area is covered in places, providing shelter from the rain. Wellington Way is the busiest retail area in the town and draws shoppers from across the PO7 and PO8 postcode areas. Benches and planters line the walkway, and occasional market stalls set up along its length.
