A main road running eastward from Waterlooville town centre towards Leigh Park and Havant. Stakes Road carries a steady flow of traffic and is lined with a mix of residential properties, a few shops and community facilities. The road passes through the Stakes area and connects to the B2149 towards Havant. Housing along Stakes Road is a mix of interwar and postwar semis, with some larger detached properties and bungalows. A small parade of shops near the junction with Hart Plain Avenue serves the local neighbourhood. The Crookhorn area lies to the south, accessed from side streets off Stakes Road. Bus routes along the road provide connections to Waterlooville centre and Havant.
