Maurepas Way
Street guide, Waterlooville
An inner relief road looping around the western edge of Waterlooville town centre, named after the French town of Maurepas, which is twinned with Waterlooville. Maurepas Way was built as part of the 1970s redevelopment of the town centre and carries traffic around the shopping area, relieving London Road of some through traffic. The road has a modern, functional character, with the shopping centre on one side and car parks and service areas on the other. Roundabouts at each end connect to London Road and Stakes Road. Pedestrian crossings link the car parks to the shopping precinct. Maurepas Way is heavily used by shoppers accessing the main car parks for the town centre.
