A main road running south from Waterlooville towards Purbrook, connecting the town centre area to the residential neighbourhoods and schools in the Purbrook area. Stakes Hill Road carries a steady flow of traffic and has a mix of residential properties and some commercial premises along its length. The road passes through a varied landscape, from the more built-up sections near the town to the greener areas near Purbrook Heath. Housing along the road includes interwar semis, postwar properties and some larger detached houses. St John's Church Purbrook stands near the southern end. The road is well served by bus routes connecting Waterlooville to Havant and Portsmouth.
